My heart goes out to the adolescents and their parents, who are doing their best. However, perhaps there's something more we can do for them.  Like adults, sometimes, we just accept how it is and develop coping strategies rather than get to the root of what it is.

  • Stay Calm and Patient: Model emotional regulation during tough conversations. Always.  

  • Educate Yourself: Learn about adolescent development and challenges.

  • Foster Open Communication: Regularly check in and ask open-ended questions.

  • Provide Consistent Support: Be there consistently for advice, encouragement, or listening.

Let it Out and Be You Journal

I created this journal to assist kids in understanding and expressing their emotions and challenges. The ones they understand and the ones they don't.

It's specially designed for pre-teen and teens. It's created to help encourage self-discovery and self-expression in kids who may struggle to articulate their thoughts and feelings, whether because they don't know how or don't feel comfortable doing so. Every child is unique, and this journal aims to support their individual needs, help them find their voice, and foster self-love.
